Readbird

Privacy Policy

Effective October 1, 2026

The short version: Readbird doesn't collect, store, or sell any personal data. There are no accounts, ads, analytics, or trackers. The text you add and the speech Readbird creates stay on your iPhone.

This policy explains how the Readbird app ("Readbird", "we", "us") for iPhone, published by Redshift Software, LLC, handles information.

Information we collect

None. We do not operate servers that receive your content, and the app contains no analytics, advertising, or tracking software. We do not know who you are or what you read.

Content you add stays on your device

Text you paste, articles you save, PDFs you import, and photos or scans you use are stored only in Readbird's private storage on your iPhone. Text recognition (OCR) and speech generation happen on your device. If you use iCloud or iTunes backups, your device backup may include this data, as with any app; that backup is governed by Apple's privacy policy.

Children

Readbird is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children.

Your choices

You can delete any document in the app, or delete the app to remove all of its data, including downloaded voices, from your device.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the effective date above.
